Deep Tide TechFlow News, June 3rd, according to The Block, Ledger's Donjon Security Research Team discovered that the TROPIC01 chip used in Trezor Safe 7 has a hardware vulnerability. Attackers with physical access to the device can bypass firmware verification and load unauthorized firmware through laser fault injection in a laboratory environment.

Trezor stated that user funds, wallet backups, and private keys are not stored on the chip, and there is currently no risk to user funds, nor do users need to take action. Chip manufacturer Tropic Square said that all TROPIC01 mass-produced chips in use are affected and plans to release a hardened version by the end of 2026.
