Crypto news, DeepMind co-founder and CEO Demis Hassabis stated during a Stanford Fireside Chat that artificial general intelligence (AGI) is expected to be achieved around 2030, and the time window for society and governments to prepare is extremely urgent. He pointed out that the economic transformation brought by AI is ten times the intensity of the Industrial Revolution, ten times faster to implement, and exerts 100 times the acceleration. He criticized mainstream economists for still being entangled in old metrics and called for the urgent design of a new post-scarcity economic system.
