Recently, I've seen a bunch of people watching on-chain large transfers and hot/cold wallet movements on exchanges, then starting to interpret "smart money is about to move"… Honestly, it's fine to watch the spectacle, but don't accidentally hand over your own wallet. The more realistic trap is still unlimited contract authorization: you think you're just clicking confirm, but actually you're giving permission for "spending my money freely." No matter how the project team spins the narrative, once the contract has issues or is taken over, you won't have a say.
I've now basically developed the habit: after interacting, I revoke the authorization, just like locking the door before bed—it's not comfortable to leave it unchecked. It’s a bit troublesome, but at least it reduces one pathway to losing money. Anyway, I’m not some smart money, so I’d rather control what I can first.
