Over the past two days, I’ve again seen a bunch of people interpreting ETF fund flows, US stock market sentiment, and crypto price movements as if they’re hard-wired together—talking like they have a god’s-eye view… In plain terms, the attention economy is: whoever can tell the story wins. If you chase a hot topic, just expect to get swung back and forth. My “cheap but effective” method: when a hot topic just starts to heat up, I don’t rush in—I first check whether there’s truly incremental demand on-chain (bridge volume, actual trades, and whether gas is getting squeezed or getting jammed). If there isn’t, I treat it as just noise; if there is, I only run one round with a small position, set a point to exit, and don’t get drawn into a long fight. After all, if you’re running small capital and want to stay alive longer, don’t treat emotions as signals—just make sure you’ve figured out the fees and slippage first.
