Arthur Hayes and Kyle Samani (Multicoin Capital) have made a $100,000 bet on HYPE vs SOL from June 2 to January 1. Hayes believes HYPE will outperform the top 10 by returns, while Samani backs SOL with proceeds going to charity.

Kyle Samani is one of the largest institutional holders of SOL.

Kyle Samani personally stepped in as SOL’s big boss/whale—this bet itself is basically calling out to position holders to follow along, a win-win PR.

100k to these two people is pocket change, but the traffic payoff is massive—only then does the community really start arguing.

Betting from June until January next year, spanning the bull and bear market window, Hayes's chosen timing is very subtle.

Arthur Hayes’s move is a bit interesting—he’s betting on SOL’s mature market value off the hype around HYPE just launched, and the time window is stretched out this far too. The charitable endorsement, though, has taken the heat out of the whole charged atmosphere a bit.
