OpenAI upgrades Codex, expanding it from a single programming assistant to a knowledge work system for white-collar workers, covering six major fields and deeply integrated with ChatGPT, serving nearly 1 billion users worldwide. The new features Codex Sites and Annotations can generate hostable, interactive web pages and dashboards through natural language. Currently, monthly active users exceed 5 million, with non-technical white-collar workers accounting for about 20%.
