Over these past two days, the group has again been circulating screenshots of “a certain stablecoin losing its peg.” To put it plainly, it’s often not that the information is more accurate—it’s that everyone starts panicking first. With stablecoins, the less transparent they are, the easier it is for withdrawal panic to whip up the narrative and drive the crowd’s behavior: the more you explain, the more others want to run first. I don’t oppose regulation and reserve audits—I at least like having something that can be checked and rechecked; otherwise it all just comes down to “trust.” I personally keep my holdings diversified, rebalance regularly, and when I see rumors, I first look at the source and the reserve disclosures. Don’t make things hard for yourself—stick to your position discipline first.
