Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone Holds a Space Computing Enterprise Symposium to Study and Deploy the Construction of the Space Computing Innovation Center

Golden Finance reports, June 2nd: On June 1st, Wang Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Beijing Economic-Technological Development Zone, presided over a space computing enterprise symposium, listening to relevant companies' opinions and suggestions on building a space computing industry hub in Beijing Yizhuang, and studying the deployment of the construction of the Space Computing Innovation Center.
The participating entrepreneurs unanimously stated that space computing is a new track for the integration of commercial aerospace and the digital economy, and has become a new frontier in global technological competition, with significant strategic value and commercial prospects.
Recently, Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone initiated the establishment of the Beijing Space Intelligence Computing Research Institute, which is an important step in building a high-level Beijing Space Computing Innovation Center, and a key move to turn the space computing industry from a blueprint into reality.
Companies will actively participate in the construction of the research institute, leveraging their advantages in satellite manufacturing, computing chips, communication payloads, energy materials, software scheduling, and precision components, jointly tackling key common technical challenges such as radiation-resistant satellite chips, inter-satellite laser communication, and efficient thermal control and power supply.
They will accelerate on-orbit verification and large-scale networking of computing satellites, creating a complete innovation chain and industrial chain of “constellations + terminals + services,” and promote the development of an independent, controllable, secure, and trustworthy space computing technology and standards system.
This effort aims to contribute wisdom and strength to China’s goal of building a strong aerospace and cyber power. (Securities Times)
