NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon photonics technology is now in full mass production, providing a fivefold improvement in network energy efficiency compared to traditional transceivers.

Golden Finance reports that on June 2nd, NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon photonics technology has entered full mass production. The new generation Spectrum-X switches are built using photonic-electronic integration packaging technology (CPO), supporting NVIDIA Vera Rubin platform for horizontal and cross-regional expansion deployment of AI factories in data centers. Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon photonics technology is one of the exemplary cases of NVIDIA's full-stack collaborative design. Compared to networks using traditional transceivers, Spectrum-X Ethernet silicon photonics technology can achieve a 5x increase in energy efficiency, a 5x increase in AI uptime, and deployment time is 1.3 times faster.
