BlockBeats News, June 2nd, asset management giant Franklin Templeton announced that it will integrate its BENJI tokenized money market fund and other tokenized products into MoonPay's on-chain trading platform MoonPay Trade.

Through this partnership, institutional users can leverage MoonPay's recently launched on-chain trading infrastructure to achieve seamless exchanges between stablecoins such as USDC, USDT, and Franklin Templeton's tokenized money market funds, further enhancing on-chain cash management and asset allocation efficiency.

Both parties stated that this collaboration is expected to serve as the foundation for a broader strategic partnership between Franklin Templeton and MoonPay. MoonPay pointed out that this marks the company's expansion from cryptocurrency, fiat currency, and stablecoins into the tokenized real-world assets (RWA) sector. Additionally, this is one of the first major strategic initiatives since Caroline Pham, CEO of MoonPay Institutional, joined the company. Pham previously served as Acting Chair of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

MoonPay's institutional transformation is quite aggressive, directly shifting from a payment gateway to the RWA (Real-World Asset) track.
