Golden Finance reports that on June 2, German industrial robot startup “Agile Robots” is in negotiations with investors including SoftBank Group, planning to raise approximately $800 million in new funding. At present, investors are looking for companies that apply artificial intelligence technology in real-world scenarios. According to people familiar with the matter, SoftBank is negotiating an investment of more than $300 million. Previously, the company participated in Agile Robots’ first round of investment. The negotiations are still at an early stage, and the final amount and terms may still change. Over the past year, funding and valuations for robot startups have grown significantly. With AI software becoming increasingly widespread, investors are also seeing the potential to apply the technology in practical scenarios such as manufacturing, logistics, and engineering. According to PitchBook data, global investment in this sector will more than double in 2025 year-on-year, reaching $27.6 billion USD.
