The 2026 World Cup in the US, Canada, and Mexico will deploy AI technology to enhance the event experience

Golden Jinse Finance reports that on June 2, according to European News Television, the 2026 United States–Canada–Mexico World Cup will deploy new technologies such as AI to improve the match and viewing experience. Specifically, the official match ball will be equipped with a 500Hz motion sensor chip, which can collect data 500 times per second to track the ball’s speed and trajectory in real time and assist with key decisions such as offside, handball, and penalty kicks. In addition, the stadium will create AI digital doubles for all 1,248 players to help referees quickly reconstruct match scenes.
