Coinbase announces a partnership with payment service provider Checkout.com to offer stablecoin payment capabilities to over 1,000 enterprise clients. Qualified merchants can accept USDC and USDT payments through the Checkout.com platform, allowing consumers to settle directly with stablecoins, while merchants continue to receive payments in USD via Checkout.com's existing payment channels. Coinbase states that its payment infrastructure currently covers nearly 50 countries and regions.
