AI tokens are in that weird stage where the idea makes complete sense, but the market is still covered in junk.
You can see the bigger picture forming: AI agents will need wallets, payments, reputation, compute, data, verification and some way to interact with the internet without a human holding its hand every five minutes.
That is where crypto starts to matter.
Right now, plenty of projects are just throwing “AI” on the front of a ticker and hoping people ape. That part is embarrassing, but it is also to be expected. Early internet companies did the same thing with dot-com names. Early crypto did it with “DeFi”, “NFTs”, “metaverse” and every other cycle narrative.
The first wave is usually full of shit that goes to zero but the winners are the companies that turn the obvious idea into something people actually use and there are already some coins emerging in this realm.
AI will make software smarter. Crypto can give it rails to own, pay, verify and coordinate. I still think people are massively underestimating how early this crossover is.
