$2.5 billion pumped into Europe’s computing power—this wave of independent AI infrastructure is for real, and competition is getting fierce.

According to AIMPACT on May 16, Argentum AI signed an approximately $2.5 billion agreement with Boosteroid and DL Invest Group to build a 300-megawatt data center in Europe, deploying GPU infrastructure, and will use tens of thousands of next-generation GPUs (including Nvidia Blackwell) in the future. The project will become one of the largest independent AI infrastructure facilities in Europe, reflecting the technology industry's accelerated efforts to establish independent providers in response to surging AI computing power.
