Gate Expands Access to TradFi with Direct US Stock and ETF Trading via USDT

Gate officially launches real stock trading services, allowing users to trade listed stocks on NASDAQ, NYSE equities, and ETFs directly using USDT through connections with compliant US broker-dealers.
Personally, I think this is yet another strong example of how the boundaries between traditional finance and crypto are rapidly disappearing.
For years, investors had to operate through separate platforms for stocks and digital assets. The industry is now moving toward an integrated financial ecosystem where various asset classes can be accessed from a single account environment.
Another key factor is accessibility.
Using stablecoins as a gateway to traditional financial products can significantly simplify participation for international investors who already hold digital assets and want exposure to equities without transferring funds between platforms.
Personally, I believe this reflects a much larger trend shaping the future of finance.
Markets are gradually transitioning toward a model where crypto infrastructure, tokenized assets, traditional securities, and digital payment systems coexist within the same ecosystem.
At the same time, regulatory compliance remains critically important.
The involvement of licensed US broker-dealers demonstrates how platforms are increasingly integrating blockchain-based efficiency with traditional regulatory frameworks rather than viewing them as competing systems.
Ultimately, the most successful financial platforms may not be those choosing between TradFi and crypto —
but those that successfully connect both worlds.
And developments like this show that hybrid finance is arriving faster than many have anticipated.
