🚨 Cardano Summit 2026 Cancelled
The Cardano Foundation has officially cancelled Cardano Summit 2026 after its treasury funding proposal failed to secure the required two-thirds supermajority vote from the community.
The proposal sought 7.8 million ADA (approximately $2 million) to fund the event in Singapore. While it received 65.21% support, it narrowly missed the 66.67% threshold required under Cardano's on-chain governance rules.
Despite endorsements from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson and Foundation leadership, the proposal was rejected, demonstrating the growing power of decentralized governance within the Cardano ecosystem.
This marks one of the biggest governance decisions in Cardano's history, proving that even flagship events are subject to community approval.
