This year, AI companies took 87% of venture capital funding, accounting for nearly half of the issuance of investment-grade bonds. Crypto ETFs have experienced net outflows of $3 billion for 10 consecutive days. This is not a coincidence; it is a structural turning point in capital flows.

Goldman Sachs data shows that this year, AI-related companies have raised approximately $380 billion through venture capital, bonds, and high-yield debt, accounting for 64% of all capital movements. Of every $10 in venture capital, almost $9 went to AI.
On the crypto side, ETF net outflows have set records, yet retail investor sentiment remains overwhelmingly bullish. Institutions are withdrawing, retail investors are entering; this divergence is often not a sign of a bottom but a result of capital reallocation.
The narrative of AI has expanded from chips to storage, MLCC, and software, with each segment attracting incremental funds. The crypto narrative, however, is still waiting for the next catalyst. When money flows into more certain growth stories, market structure will change.
This is not a call to short, but a reminder: when signals of capital reallocation become clear, traders need to reassess their position logic.
