CryptoWorld News reports that, according to French sources, at France's request, the United Nations Security Council is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting on June 1st, Eastern Time, to discuss Israel's expanded military operations in Lebanon. French President Emmanuel Macron posted on social media on May 31st, stating that the ongoing escalation in southern Lebanon is "completely unjustified," and he called on all parties to cease fire, saying France will continue to support Lebanon's efforts to restore national sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also stated that the immediate priority is for the United States and Iran to reach a ceasefire agreement as soon as possible.
