Chainalysis said about 47% of crypto organizations onboarded in 2026 use alert settings that would have ranked in the top 10% of strictness in 2020. The firm said direct monitoring has become more consistent across the sector. Chainalysis said indirect monitoring remains weaker, with exchange thresholds often 10 to 20 times higher than direct thresholds.
