Writing scripts to capture logs at night made my eyes sore, and I casually scrolled to see the second-level royalty dispute again, feeling like I’m watching mempool to see who’s front-running whom: no matter how beautifully the rules are written, if you can't enforce them, it all depends on conscience… and conscience on the chain is basically non-existent. To put it simply, creators want sustainable income, which is fine, but pushing all the pressure onto the transaction market ultimately leads to platforms/aggregators taking detours, and users get annoyed.
What’s even more outrageous is that now with AI Agents and automated trading narratives, everyone is shouting “Let the robot help you run,” but for something like royalties, which is an “optional” feature, robots will only choose the cheaper route—who would pay morally for you? Anyway, I now believe in two things more: either the protocol layer can truly enforce settlement (otherwise don’t pretend), or creators should place value elsewhere, like tickets, whitelists, or verifiable peripheral rights. Royalties… the vision is beautiful, but the reality is cold.
