Abstract generation in progress
On the afternoon of the 31st, the Ro-Ro ship "Jinan" loaded with 7,273 BYD new energy vehicles slowly departed from the port of Nantong, Jiangsu, heading to European countries such as Italy and Spain. This is the first time Nantong Port has undertaken large-scale commercial vehicle Ro-Ro export operations. This marks that Nantong has the capacity for large-scale automobile exports, opening a new channel for China's new energy vehicles to go overseas. The vehicles exported this time come from multiple production bases including BYD Hefei, Xi'an, Changzhou, and Zhenjiang, transported via rail and road to Nantong Yanglü Railway Automobile Logistics Base, and then shipped to Europe by Ro-Ro ships. The multimodal transport mode of "railway consolidation, port loading, and sea shipping" has significantly improved logistics efficiency. (Xinhua News Agency)
