The main reason most programmers are being wiped out by AI is this:

Most of what programmers do is copying and imitation,
as well as bypassing the pitfalls they’ve stepped into themselves.
From this perspective, writing code isn’t really a science—
it’s more like traditional Chinese medicine, a trade that heavily depends on experience.
In coding, there’s no double-blind setup, and no statistical analysis.
As long as it runs, it doesn’t matter what the architecture or system design is—
as long as it doesn’t crash, it’s considered a good thing.
Now AI is here. AI can scan one million lines at a glance,
copy the world’s most refined software designs,
and avoid every pitfall that has been documented on record.
As a traditional craft industry, backward and lagging,
being wiped out is inevitable.
Of course, most industries are like this too—so everyone is getting wiped out.
