Airdrop season is in full swing lately, and various task platforms are cracking down on botting and fraud. The points-based system makes “getting rewards” feel as competitive as clocking in at work—yet what everyone loves most is still that one line: “Approve unlimited.” To put it bluntly, once you hand over contract permissions, it’s like putting the keys to your door in someone else’s hands, and then soothing yourself with, “I’ll just use it once.” Revoking permissions is just as important as sleep: you won’t die immediately if you don’t do it, but sooner or later, it will drive you to the breaking point.

If I had been a little less careless back then—finished the interaction and promptly revoked the old approval—then that next time when the funds were mysteriously deducted wouldn’t have happened. Don’t ask; it was just me being overconfident. No matter how much the project team tries to sweet-talk me with promises, I’ll still check permissions first, look at the approval status, and confirm whether I can turn my wallet into a cash machine anytime… Being the one who rains on everyone’s parade is fine—at least the money is still there.
