Deep Tide TechFlow News — May 31, according to Decrypt, Florida’s 22nd Congressional District Republican candidate and fintech entrepreneur Michael Carbonara this month sold 10 BTC, converting it into USDC worth $800k to fund his congressional campaign. His spokesperson said the proceeds came from Michael Carbonara’s personal crypto assets.
The report noted that Michael Carbonara also accepts cryptocurrency donations from outside supporters and said the campaign team has complied with the relevant rules of the U.S. Federal Election Commission. Michael Carbonara also argues for using blockchain to improve transparency in campaign funding and government budget reporting.
