According to The Times of India, a robbery involving an offline USDT transaction occurred in Chandigarh, India. The local police stated that five suspects, posing as USDT traders via WhatsApp, arranged a transaction with a businessman who runs a computer accessories business for approximately 4 million rupees (about $48k). The victim, carrying 1.75 million rupees in cash (about $21k), was assaulted and robbed after going to the Sector-42 lake area parking lot. The police have currently arrested one person and recovered 500k rupees, with the remaining suspects still at large.
