I’ve been lurking in the group for a long time, but I still can’t help popping in… Recently I’ve been seeing everyone talk about sandwiches/arbitrage—so don’t just stare at “I can also grab a bite.” A lot of the opportunities you see are, in many cases, roads that someone else has already paved for you: the moment you click confirm, slippage hits, priority inclusion happens, and then the whole “squeezing” routine is carried out. In the end, you’re just turning into someone’s transaction-fee ATM for the people already inside the block. Put bluntly, you’re not really arbitraging—you’re acting as liquidity, and also as bait.
Especially now, when new L1/L2 incentives launch and TVL gets pulled up, the on-chain scene is lively like crazy. I can totally empathize with what veteran users complain about—“mining, selling,” and so on: once the traffic comes in, the ones who get full first are often not the people building the ecosystem, but the ones who know how to get in position and stay there. Anyway, what I care about more now is how to get squeezed less: split your trades into smaller parts, don’t chase the most crowded pools, and use protection whenever you can… Whether you end up making a profit or not, set that aside for now—just make sure you keep your tea steady.
