Abstract generation in progress
CryptoWorld News reports that OpenClaw has released version v2026.5.28, focusing on a key overhaul of the elastic recovery mechanism for Codex and the agent runtime, and launching a brand-new iOS development beta Pro UI. In this new version, the execution paths of sub-agents and their workspaces are strictly physically isolated to prevent sandbox contamination. The system-level hook context is restricted to the local prompt scope; it automatically releases session locks when execution times out or when it is actively terminated, while still retaining framework-level survival locks. To address underlying service crashes, the new version updates the fault-tolerance logic of the Codex application server to ensure that auxiliary process failures will not drag down the shared runtime state, and completely eliminates the event-loop self-lock issue caused by residuals from historical restarts. The mobile and chat interaction interfaces have received significant updates: the iOS development beta app has been comprehensively rebuilt and introduces a completely new Pro interface that integrates professional commands, agent management, real-time diagnostics, and global settings into one unified experience. The new iOS app supports rendering remote canvases and adaptive interactive interfaces via WKWebView, and enables real-time two-way voice playback based on gateway sessions.

The design of the sub-agent's physical isolation is well thought out; sandbox contamination has always been an invisible bomb.

Elastic recovery and reconstruction are the cure for the pain points—before, the agent crashed, and everything was just completely gone; it was so unbearable.

v2026.5.28 This version number is a bit interesting, is it a prophecy or an inside joke?

Global settings are well integrated, but in the past, professional commands were hidden too deeply, making it impossible for beginners to find the entry point.

System hooks are limited to local scope as a safety baseline; prompt engineering is increasingly like walking a tightrope.
