The cross-chain bridge has encountered issues again. The LayerZero V2 vulnerability is quite critical. Fortunately, 110k rsETH were patched, and Aave users had a false alarm.

Aave releases a review of the rsETH incident on April 18
Aave announces rsETH incident investigation: Kelp's LayerZero V2 cross-chain bridge accepted forged messages in the Unichain to Ethereum cross-chain, causing 116,500 rsETH to be released on the Ethereum side, while the Unichain side did not burn the corresponding amount.
The attacker deposited the stolen rsETH into 8 Aave V3 positions and borrowed out 82,650 WETH and 821 wstETH, affecting the market.
Currently, the attacker’s rsETH on Arbitrum has been burned, and the LayerZero OFT adapter has replenished 116,131.72 rsETH in 5 batches, with related assets restored to normal.
