Abstract generation in progress
On May 27, under the careful maintenance of the Nantong Maritime Safety Administration, the “Fengsheng” (Wind Ace) global top-of-the-line NG20000-type wind power installation vessel built by Qidong COSCO Shipping Offshore Engineering for Danish shipowners set sail from Qidong Port in Jiangsu after sounding its horn, kicking off a one-month sea trial. As a new generation offshore wind power installation vessel with industry-leading technology specifications, and with its level of intelligent and green, environmentally friendly performance ranking among the best in the industry, the “Fengsheng” vessel is equipped with a 5,600-square-meter deck area, an effective payload of 18,000 tons, a main crane lifting capacity of 3,350 tons, and it features a hybrid power system along with next-generation dynamic positioning technology. It can precisely install ultra-large wind turbines of 20 megawatts and above, fully adapting to the complex operating environment of the open deep sea. It is truly a “flagship” among global self-elevating wind power installation platforms. The vessel is planned to be formally delivered in July 2026, and after it enters operation, it will inject Chinese momentum into global offshore wind power development. (CCTV News)
