Lately, I’ve been at it again—scrolling through all kinds of social mining and points tasks. My whole screen is covered with “identity” and “badges.” Let’s be honest: it’s basically asking you to treat your time as fuel to exchange for an uncertain payoff. I’m getting more and more lazy about keeping up. Mainly because the more I chase it, the more it starts to feel like working—daily check-ins, reposts, joining groups, binding a bunch of accounts. The authorization pages are a mile long; just looking at them makes me uneasy… If you give out the keys once, and something really goes wrong, no one will compensate you.

Even more absurd is that they’ve now added AI Agents and automated trading on top of it all. Some people hype it as “fully automated interaction that helps you farm points.” It sounds convenient, but in practice it just hands control of your permissions over to unfamiliar scripts. The small amount of manual work you save could end up being paid back with your wallet’s security. I’d rather have fewer badges. Every so often, I’ll do an authorization health check, revoke permissions from contracts I don’t recognize, and sleep more soundly. After all, points are just a story until they actually land in your account.
