BSTR's Sean Bill: Most Bitcoin treasury companies struggle to survive

Abstract generation in progress
CryptoWorld News reports that Sean Bill, co-founder of BSTR, warned at the Bitcoin Las Vegas conference that many Bitcoin treasury companies may face survival challenges, with only a few able to stand out. He pointed out that many companies entering the Bitcoin treasury space lack clear strategies, relying solely on buying and holding Bitcoin. He stated that this reliance on Bitcoin price appreciation will become more difficult under tightening market conditions. Bill also mentioned that investors can now access investment opportunities through Bitcoin ETFs. He emphasized that BSTR plans to actively utilize its Bitcoin, rather than just holding it on the balance sheet, exploring opportunities such as options trading, arbitrage strategies, and high-frequency trading to generate additional returns based on Bitcoin price increases. Bill predicts that the Bitcoin treasury industry will undergo consolidation, with only a few serious players able to survive.

Industry consolidation = big fish eat small fish, small financial companies should quickly find their next client.

BSTR's approach is quite aggressive, but it's definitely better than just holding onto it.

Most companies come in just to follow the trend; only a few have clear strategies.

Sean honestly said that many treasuries are just changing names to speculate on cryptocurrencies.

I feel like this wave will end up like mining hardware manufacturers, with only three or five companies remaining in the end.

Only those who dare to engage in options arbitrage like BSTR can survive; pure holders indeed find it difficult.

High-frequency trading? That's a threshold not just any company can reach.

Probably only those with their own quant teams can survive; everyone else, go wash and sleep.

Options + arbitrage, this combination sounds mind-boggling; ordinary companies can't handle it.
