XBIT DEX: Analyst's Interpretation of the Key Differences Between Stellar and Ripple in the DTCC Announcement

Crypto World News reports that XBIT DEX stated that analysts pointed out that the announcements from Stellar and Ripple Prime at DTCC represent two different opportunities. DTCC has decided to connect its tokenization platform directly to the Stellar blockchain, enabling financial institutions to issue and manage tokenized assets such as stocks and ETFs on its network. This integration, which processes approximately $3.7 trillion in securities transactions annually, marks an important step in bringing DTCC-supported tokenized assets to public blockchains, quickly drawing market attention and boosting optimism for XLM. By contrast, Ripple Prime, by joining the DTCC country-level securities clearing organization participant directory as a clearing and execution broker, gained access to DTCC’s existing clearing network, further consolidating its position in traditional financial markets. Analysts believe that Stellar’s announcement focuses on blockchain integration, while Ripple Prime’s participation is centered on institutional market access; this key distinction should not be viewed as equivalent.
