According to a report from Crypto World, Kalshi’s head of crypto business, John Wang, posted on the X platform saying that cryptocurrencies account for 70% of the trading volume in the platform’s prediction markets, making them the second-largest business category. He said that Kalshi is the first regulated platform in the United States that can legally offer crypto perpetual contract trading, and it also serves as the liquidity layer for the Coinbase and Phantom front ends, accepting only cryptocurrencies for international deposits. With a joking tone, John Wang emphasized: “That’s right—Kalshi isn’t a cryptocurrency company.”

Prediction markets + perpetual contracts, Kalshi's combo is working quite smoothly, taking an early lead in the compliant track.

Joking aside, but the 70% share indicates that users are indeed using it; data doesn't lie.

John Wang’s tweet style has a bit of Musk’s vibe—first denying it, then “subtly” flaunting it in a smug, Versailles-style way.

Kalshi's move is clever; 70% of trading volume comes from crypto, yet they say they're not a crypto company—what kind of Versailles is this?

Kalshi’s narrative packaging abilities are second to none—it brings both the aura of regulation and crypto traffic.
