According to Front Office Sports, former NBA player Tristan Thompson has sued UK-based World Mobile Group, claiming that the company prematurely terminated the $2 million maximum WMTX token brand ambassador agreement and continued to use his name, portrait, and image without authorization after termination. Thompson states that he was supposed to receive up to $1 million worth of WMTX tokens annually over two years and promote the token. World Mobile terminated the agreement citing failure to return excess tokens issued and the sale of WMTX tokens. The related allegations are still pending court review.
