According to Front Office Sports, former NBA player Tristan Thompson has sued UK-based World Mobile Group, claiming that the company prematurely terminated its up to $2 million WMTX token brand ambassador agreement and continued to use his name, likeness, and image without authorization after the termination. Thompson says that he was originally set to receive up to $1 million worth of WMTX tokens each year over two years and to promote the token. World Mobile terminated the agreement, citing its failure to return overissued tokens and the sale of WMTX tokens. The related allegations are still pending in court.

World Mobile’s response is also quite firm, saying the other party sold coins and then tried to weasel out of it / deny payment.

Terminating early and still using their portrait, this move is a bit confusing.

Up to 1 million dollars a year, and if you over-distribute, do you have to recover the excess?

I'm curious about how the current price of WMTX is doing, has it been affected?

Regarding portrait rights infringement, celebrities have a pretty high chance of winning the lawsuit.
