The full text of the U.S. Constitution is written into the Bitcoin blockchain, sparking a debate over block space.

Golden Finance reports that on May 30, according to CCN, an anonymous user inscribed the full text of the U.S. Constitution onto the Bitcoin blockchain using the Ordinals protocol, with a transaction fee of 113,454 satoshis, approximately $83. The transaction size was about 44.4 KB, confirmed at 20:25 UTC on May 28, and recorded at Bitcoin block height 951,492.
CCN states that in January 2025, Bitcoin mining company Marathon Digital also combined the U.S. Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and a portrait of Trump into a single inscription, costing about 1.244 BTC.
