Gold Finance reported that on May 29, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Iranian Foreign Minister Alireza Enayati and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Saud bin Hamad al-Busaidi discussed bilateral relations and regional developments by phone today. The Iranian foreign minister said that reaching a final agreement with the United States depends on the U.S. stopping its excessive demands and ever-changing stance, and emphasized that Iran is serious and resolute in pursuing its lawful rights and legitimate interests.

Alireza Enayati praised Oman’s principled and responsible stance on issues related to regional peace and security, condemned the U.S.’s threatening remarks toward Oman, and pointed out that the responsible measures taken by Oman and Iran to manage security and ensure smooth shipping in the Strait of Hormuz are based on international law and align with the interests of the global community. The Iranian foreign minister also condemned Israel’s crimes in Lebanon and the occupied Palestinian territories, emphasizing the moral and legal responsibility of regional countries, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations to take urgent action to stop the aggression against Lebanon and the ongoing genocide.
