$HYPE 【The Digital Chamber Kicks Off a New Round of Lobbying, Urging Passage of the “Clarity Act” This Year】

The U.S. cryptocurrency advocacy organization The Digital Chamber launched a new website on Thursday, providing the public with a channel to express support to legislators, with the goal of pushing the “Clarity Act” to become law this year. Digital Chamber CEO Cody Carbone said Congress needs to recognize that the American public expects them to take action on the “Clarity Act.” The bill was passed by the House of Representatives last year, but it was put on hold in the Senate for months over issues such as stablecoin reward handling. Although the controversy reportedly appears to have been resolved, ethical and DeFi concerns have resurfaced. It is said that more than 70 million Americans nationwide hold cryptocurrencies and need the protections the bill offers. With midterm elections approaching, the crypto industry is stepping up political lobbying efforts.
