CryptoWorld News reports that Ukrainian prosecutors recently charged a gang composed of multiple former police officers with kidnapping cryptocurrency entrepreneurs and extorting over $2.2 million.

The gang includes two former police colonels, four officers in total, and a civilian with a criminal record, who used official resources and vehicles to impersonate law enforcement officers.
At least four cryptocurrency entrepreneurs have been confirmed as victims.
In one case, a victim in Kyiv was kidnapped at gunpoint and forced to sign a false debt document for $5 million.
The involved police officers have been dismissed, and the case is being handed over to the court for trial.

Suggest on-chain detectives also track where this 2.2 million went.

Is dismissal the end of it? Shouldn't there be an investigation to see if there's something bigger behind it?

Only four victims have been revealed; there are probably more who haven't reported it.
