I just accidentally copied one fewer character in the withdrawal address, and the moment I clicked to confirm, my heart sank halfway... Luckily, the transaction hasn’t been “finalized” on-chain yet, so I quickly canceled it and started over. Later I thought about it: don’t let terms like data availability, ordering, and finality scare you—basically, there’s one main thread here: once you send something out, can everyone see it (don’t hide the data), how do we determine who goes first and who goes last (don’t let anyone cut in line), and exactly when is it considered fully settled (don’t change your mind a moment later). If these three things don’t get handled well, the UX will be like what I just went through—pushing through purely on mindset.

Lately, the group has been circulating stuff about stablecoin regulation, reserve audits, and all kinds of screenshots saying “de-pegging could happen.” Emotions are especially easy to get swept along. My approach is: when you see rumors, don’t rush to hit “confirm”—wait and see how finality actually plays out; at least don’t scare yourself in the window where things are still likely to go wrong... Anyway, this little mishap of mine today will keep me quiet for two days.
