The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) announced that in a global operation targeting scam compounds, a total of over $8 billion worth of cryptocurrency assets have been seized, and nearly 300 suspects have been arrested, setting the largest cryptocurrency asset seizure record in U.S. government history. The FBI stated that this operation involved scam networks in Myanmar, Cambodia, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and other regions, and helped rescue nearly 2,000 individuals forced into scam activities. Additionally, the FBI collaborated with Starlink to deactivate over 7,000 satellite terminals suspected of being used for scam activities in Myanmar. According to FBI data, the U.S. Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) received nearly 72k complaints of crypto investment scams in 2025, with losses exceeding $7.5 billion. (Fox News)
