Today someone asked again, "Why does on-chain data keep lagging?" Honestly, it's often not the chain itself that's slow, but the layer you're viewing is gasping for air: the indexer is running slowly, the Subgraph hasn't finished syncing, or RPC is rate-limited and just gives you a queue number. The experience is like... or rather... like a delivery guy stuck at the elevator door, and you’re staring at the map thinking he's idling. What's more annoying is that some nodes will prioritize you based on request volume or priority, so retail queries get dropped when crowded; and when it comes to the common complaints about MEV and fair ordering, the more lucrative the validator's income, the more people want to cut in line, making data delays feel even more like being "scheduled." I can only force myself to prepare multiple RPCs and reduce meaningless queries—anyway, the market never rewards confidence.
