Recently, I was taught a lesson about mainnet gas fees again on the subway... To put it simply, ordinary people have only two options: for small, frequent daily transactions, use L2 to save money and be convenient; if you want to "hold long-term without moving," then it's worth tolerating the high cost of the mainnet once, to keep assets and permissions on a more foundational layer. Anyway, I now plan to try everything on L2 first (contract interactions, authorizations, exit paths), and only consider bridging back to the mainnet after confirming there are no issues, to avoid getting caught in a pit and paying gas twice.
Additionally, the funding rates have been extremely volatile these days, and the group is arguing fiercely: is it a reversal or just more bubble squeezing? I personally don't want to chase back and forth on the mainnet anymore; the higher the cost, the easier it is to lose perspective... Take it slow, align on-chain actions with macro sentiment before moving, at least then losses are clearer.
