A-shares closing review: Shanghai Composite Index opened lower and declined 1.25%, nearly 4,500 stocks in the entire market fell

All three major A-share indices fell collectively today. As of the close, the Shanghai Composite Index was down 1.25%, the Shenzhen Component Index declined 0.88%, the ChiNext Index rose 0.07%, the Beijing 50 Index fell 2.38%, and the STAR Market 50 Index dropped 2.8%. Total market turnover was 3,259.9 billion yuan, narrowing by 4.5 billion yuan from the previous trading day. Nearly 4,500 stocks across the market fell.

In terms of sector themes, liquor, film and television cinema, power, coal mining and processing, and inverter sectors led the gains; precious metals, electrical machinery, communication services, computing power leasing, and oil and gas extraction and services sectors led the declines.

On the trading tape, the liquor sector surged rapidly in the afternoon, with Shui Jing Fang hitting the daily limit. Stocks such as XD Shede Liquor, Jiugui Liquor, Jinshiyuan, Jinhui Liquor, and Huangtai Liquor were among the top gainers. The film and television cinema sector was active, with Baina Qiancheng and Huanrui Century both hitting the daily limit, while Jiecheng Shares, Hengdian Film and Television, and Enlight Media posted strong gains. The power sector fluctuated and strengthened, with Guangdong Electric Power A, Huadian LiaoNeng, Huaneng Mengdian, and others hitting the daily limit.

On the downside, the precious metals sector opened lower and trended down throughout the day, with Sichuan Gold, Xiaocheng Technology, and Western Gold among the top decliners. The electrical machinery sector fluctuated lower, with Yifan Transmission down more than 12%; Fangzheng Electric, Zhaowei Electromechanical, and Micro Light were also among the top decliners. The computing power leasing sector also performed weakly, with Lianhua Holdings hitting the daily limit down, and Saiyi Information, Zhejiang University Net, and Runjian Co., Ltd. among the top decliners.
