Mars Finance News, May 29 — Hyperliquid Advocacy Group Hyperliquid Policy Center issued a statement welcoming the latest regulatory measures by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), including the approval of the United States' first listed perpetual contracts, the release of a policy statement on perpetual derivatives listing, related interpretive guidance and no-action relief letters, as well as a staff consultation document on 24/7 trading, clearing, and settlement. Hyperliquid Policy Center stated that these measures are the first time regulators have explicitly recognized the legitimacy and importance of perpetual contracts in price discovery and risk management. It pointed out that past regulatory uncertainty led to related markets and liquidity flowing overseas, weakening the U.S.'s competitiveness in the global derivatives market. Hyperliquid Policy Center also expressed its expectation to work closely with the CFTC to promote the establishment of a regulatory framework that applies not only to centralized intermediaries but also to on-chain protocols. Currently, most perpetual contract trading activities actually occur in on-chain markets.

Explanatory guidance is more practical than legal provisions, at least knowing where the red line is.
