Lately, I’ve been seeing all kinds of PFP profile picture swaps, membership card upgrades, and brand tie-ins—basically, it’s still all about grabbing attention. It looks lively, but I always end up thinking: if these things are taken away from the “shared experience,” what’s left is just an image and a stack of permissions. How long can that last? This wave of modular chains and DA layers is the same—developers are chatting excitedly, regular users look completely lost, and in the end, someone still has to make the experience happen. Otherwise, no matter how dazzling the narrative is, it won’t reach people. Later, I realized that the kind of membership feeling that truly stays isn’t “what you bought,” but “what you’re willing to stick around for”—even if it’s just logging in now and then to take a look. Anyway, I’ll just watch from the sidelines for now, slowly waiting for some brand that really treats people like people, not just traffic.
