Keenon introduced the service robot XMAN-L1 - ForkLog: cryptocurrencies, AI, singularity, the future
Chinese company Keenon Robotics has launched the humanoid robot XMAN-L1 for service scenarios. The 136 cm tall model is designed to work with visitors, navigate, and interact in public spaces.
The robot has 42 degrees of freedom. The peak torque of the knee joint is 132 Nm. Power exceeds 2000 W per leg. Computational performance reaches 100 TOPS. Large language models Doubao and Tencent are used for user dialogue.
The company considers the XMAN-L1 part of its own ecosystem of service robotics. Keenon already offers solutions for delivery, hotels, logistics, and cleaning. The new model expands the XMAN humanoid platform line and emphasizes commercial humanoid applications.
Robot ID
The release coincided with major changes in the Chinese market. The country launched a national platform for tracking and monitoring humanoid robots throughout their lifecycle, from production to disposal.
The program is overseen by the Standardization Committee for Humanoid Robotics and Embodied Intelligence under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China.
Each robot will be assigned a unique 29-digit identifier. The code encodes the brand, manufacturer, model, serial number, hardware specifications, intelligence level, and factory registration data.
Authorities intend to use the platform for device tracking, risk management, and standardization of industry standards.
Recall that in May, Figure AI launched a 10-hour live experiment where robots competed with humans in parcel sorting.
