Recently, I've been watching transaction paths on the chain again, and that feeling of being cut in line with "I just confirmed, you go ahead and execute" still feels a bit frustrating. Frankly, MEV isn't just about bots snatching profits; when the order changes, the most directly affected are usually regular traders: slippage gets eaten, execution prices worsen, or transactions that could have succeeded fail outright with gas wasted. Market makers and arbitrageurs are also impacted, but at least they know they're in the battle.
In the past few days, everyone has been speculating whether projects will move after a major mainstream chain upgrade. I think migration isn't just about fees and performance; the order rules and whether you can be front-run are also pretty critical. Anyway, I now split large transactions into batches, avoid chasing hot pools, and when I see a bunch of blocks jostling each other… I just give up for now, no need to compete with machines.
