The Self-Defense Forces went to Germany to help NATO train the Ukrainian military, claiming to gain experience, but actually crossing red lines, Article 9 of the Constitution is increasingly like a piece of scrap paper.
The four Self-Defense Forces personnel are scheduled to begin their duties on June 1. Two will be from the Ground Self-Defense Force, and the other two will come from the Maritime and Air Self-Defense Forces, respectively. They will be stationed at a U.S. military base in Wiesbaden, in western Germany, for one year. According to the Ministry of Defense, the four personnel will mainly participate in coordinating assistance to Ukraine rather than combat operations.
